<p>The release device is used for a security closure, eg for a door or window, incorporating a tear gas cylinder, actuated by a forced entry. A double angle (12a, 13a) cooperating with the door etc is fixed to a Bowden cable (8) and mounted on a thin flexible plate (11a). This has a bending point (11b) such that the first angle (12a) pulls on the Bowden cable (8), when a forced entry is made, to bring the gas cylinder into operation. The first angle (12a) is further moved into its initial position upon bending the flexible plate (11a) back into place, so that the release device is again in readiness.</p> |
