The centrifugal drive for vehicles comprises a rotatable carrier (4) for a number of masses (21) secured eccentrically to respective radial shafts (5) arranged on the carrier. The shafts are connected by bevel planets (11) to a stationary sun gear (18) so that on rotation of the carrier the masses orbit about the axis of the carrier and rotate about the radial axes of the shafts. The movement of the centroid (S) of each mass about its radial axis is alternately added and subtracted from the movement about the carrier axis. This provides a resultant force capable of driving the vehicle.
