The seat has ball castors fitted on arms underneath and running over the surface of a large sphere mounted on a plate forming a sub-base, the pedalling apparatus being fitted at the front. This sub-base fits onto a cradle formed by a plate curved transversely and having a rack each end to engage pinions on a shaft. The shaft is held in brackets on a base and cradle and sub-base can be tilted sideways using a steering wheel. The chair is free to move over the sphere depending on the direction of thrust on the pedals, safety stops being fitted.
