<p>The protective circuit breaker has a quenching chamber containing a fuse wh ich generates a light arc on blowing. Next to th fuse (2) is fitted a protrusion (16) of an insulator (18), whose surface facing the fuse is smaller than a surface away from the same. The protrusion has at least one th rough aperture (22) for gases heated by the light arc. The protrusion is movable in the direction opposing that of the gas propagation. Preferably next to the fuse is provided a wall part (18) of the quenching chamber (8), which is material emitting a gas at an increased temperature. The end of the protrusion may match the profile of the chamber wall part.</p> |
