<p>1465654 Curable compositions containing diallyl chlorendate W R GRACE & CO 3 May 1974 [4 May 1973 20 March 1974] 21582/75 Divided out of 1465653 Headings C3R R7N7 R7N5A and R7PX Curable compositions comprise diallyl chlorendate of the Formula and a polythiol having on average more than two -SH groups per molecule. The compositions may also include a photocuring accelerator (e.g. benzophenone) and are curable by ultraviolet or high energy radiation. The polythiol is suitably a polyester of thioglycolic,α-mercaptopropionic or #-mercaptopropionic acid with a trito hexa-hydric polyol, e.g. tris-(2-hydroxyethyl)isocyanurate tris-(#-mercaptopropionate) or pentaerythritol tetrakis-(#-mercaptopropionate). In examples the compositions also include small amounts of phosphoric acid and pyrogallol (inhibitor). The compositions are useful for forming cured coatings on wire, e.g. of Cu, Al or steel, or of Cu clad with Ni, Al or stainless steel.</p> |
