<p>A single screw, gate rotor machine used as a gas compressor in which compressible fluid is fed to the machine through a low pressure inlet and exhausted through a high pressure outlet and in which an effective seal between the screw and the casing at an end of the screw across which a pressure difference occurs is located in a clearance formed between the casing or a part stationary with the casing and a generally extending surface of the screw closely adjacent thereto.</p> |
