1520893 Plastics containers; closures METAL BOX Ltd 2 March 1976 [21 March 1975] 11790/75 Heading B8T A blow-moulded plastics container has an externally screw-threaded spout 13 having an outturned pouring lip 15 providing a plane annular terminal surface 16 for the spout, the free edge 22 of the lip 15 lying on or within the cylindrical envelope of the roots of the threads 14 on the surface 24 of the spout. The container may be of high density polyethylene. The spout is provided with a plastics closure 17 having a closure panel 18 and depending skirt 19 in screw-threaded engagement with the screw threads on the spout. A flat circular sealing wad 21 is interposed between the inner surface of the closure panel and terminal surface provided by the pouring lip. |
