1465381 Raisable panels in vehicle roofs W BAIER W BAIER L SCHOBER and E SCHLUMPRECHT 27 June 1974 [16 Aug 1973] 28525/74 Heading B7B [Also in Division E2] A vehicle roof panel is lifted by a pair of mechanisms, each comprising levers 2 and 3 pivoted to the roof, the panel, and to each other, and each operated by a reciprocable member 8 which, through a further lever 7, turns the lever 2. The levers 2 and 7 are connected by a shaft 6 and by a member 9 which surrounds and grips the shaft but which can be turned relative to it to adjust the relative inclination of the levers 2 and 7. The lever 3 pivots, at its panel end, on a rod 13 which can be removed after withdrawal of a pin 12. An end 17 of the rod 13 rubs against a curved projection 18 on the lever 2 during panel lowering to provide a braking action and to prevent rattling. A stop 16 limits the extent to which the panel can be raised. |
