<p>A disc cartridge storing a flexible magnetic disc of the recording capacity of 100MB or above, provided with: first and second positioning reference holes in the lower face of the main body of the cartridge at the right and left corners respectively surrounded by the front face wall which is on the front side when the cartridge is inserted into a disc drive, the right and the left side wall which cross at right angles with the front face wall, and the periphery of the magnetic disc; a first capacity detecting hole and an erroneous recording protection hole at the right and left corners respectively surrounded by the rear face wall of the main body of the cartridge, the right and left side walls which cross at right angles with the rear face wall, and the periphery of the magnetic disc; and a second capacity detecting hole formed on the peripheral side of the magnetic disc near the first positioning reference hole. By forming these holes, parts to be detected by a detection switch are distributed in the lower face of the main body of the cartridge to thereby detect the condition of the disc cartridge such as the type of magnetic discs without fail.</p> |
