The linkage arm (32) and the linkage bar (42) of the suspension system are supported on a projecting section (34) of a lower cross-member (12). The linkage arm and linkage bar are supported by a common bearing (36,38,40) on this cross-member. The vehicle side cross linkage bearing (18), which lies in the same vehicle transverse plane, is formed to be transversely flexible. The support may be a leaf spring which is spherical in shape. ADVANTAGE - It provides for a favourable elasto-kinematic behaviour, and is steerable to a limited degree.
