The wheel has a rim-spider (3a) (sic) and a rim, each formed by a dish-section, with hollow spokes, also walls with air openings, the two being fixed together. The openings (11) in the rim (F) have a cast skin (20) of flash-metal and which can be punched out. The thickness (d) of the skin can be less than that (23) of the rim wall, and it can be flush with the rim outer surface. Alternatively, its thickness can be constant and it can be flush with the rim inner surface. It can form a peripheral edge, leaving an opening free at the middle. For the punching operation there can be an abutment holder on the inside or outside, and a corresponding number of opposite punch tools.
