PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allocate positional information even to a part other than a prepit, and to provide a high-density and high-reliable information recording medium, by generating a signal corresponding to rocking in the recording medium rocking a groove part and an inter-groove part in the radial direction on a disk like substrate, using a clock with integer number times of the frequency of this signal and performing recording/reproducing processing. SOLUTION: As tracks in one group on the information recording medium, the groove parts (information track) 3 and the inter-groove parts (information track) 4 are arranged alternately. The groove part (information track) 3 is constituted so as to be connected to the adjacent inter-groove part (information track) 4 after track one round, and the inter-groove part (information track) 4 is constituted so as to be connected to the adjacent groove part (information track) 3 after track one round. Respective tracks are divided to plural circular arc information recording units 1, and identification information 2 are arranged on the tops of the information recording units 1. The period of the rocking is made to become integer number times for the length of the recording data, and a recording clock is made to be generated easily. |
