PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the paper moisture content by an in-line system while feeding out a printing paper on a printing press, and automatically adjust a water feeding amount by a method wherein an actually measured differential portion between the moisture content of the paper right before a printing at an optional location, and the moisture content right after a humidification is obtained, and the humidifying amount is adjusted. SOLUTION: A moisture content measuring means 21 to measure the moisture content of a paper 1 before printing, is installed after an in-feed roll group 12 which controls by suppressing or correcting a meandering of the paper 1, the generation of wrinkles, and the turbulence of a feeding speed, etc., and measures the moisture content of the paper 1 before printing, and a moisture content measuring means 22 to measure the moisture content of the paper 1 after printing, is installed, e.g. after at paper humidifying means 17, and fixed point measurements are performed respectively. A differential value between the moisture content of the measuring means 21 and the moisture content of the measuring means 22 is calculated. Then, the differential value is numerically converted into a replenishing water amount value. The replenishing water amount value becomes a signal to control a water feeding amount of a paper humidifying device 17, and the water feeding amount is adjusted based on the water feeding amount control signal, and a humidifying operation is applied to the paper 1 after printing-drying. |
