PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic amorphous metal alloy thin band which is excellent in a surface property even if the boron content is less than usual, wide and having 0.1 w/kg of the iron loss W13/50 . SOLUTION: An amorphous metal thin band quenched/solidified, which is obtained through expanding a basin formed by injecting a molten metal from a nozzle 4 with a slit like opening onto a cooling roll 2 rotating with a high speed by expanding the basin 3 on the cooling roll 2, and the composition of which is shown by a formula Fe B Si C, wherein a, b, c and d have the following relation: 75<=a<=81, 7<=b<=11.5, 8<=c<=15, 0.5<=d<=1.5 and a+b+c+d=100, and the iron loss W13/50 is 1 w/kg or less. |
