A switching element on a setting device for time switches is described which is disposed on a cylindrical hub and can be adjusted in the running direction of the time dial. The switching component is designed in the shape of a ring as a closed unit with an attached switching projection. It has a continuously uniform material width which is reinforced only at the tip of the switching projection.
