PURPOSE:To continuously produce a long-sized oxide-based superconductor having a high critical current density by continuously and relatively moving an Ln-Ba-Cu-O-based superconductor in a heat-treating furnace having a specified temp. distribution. CONSTITUTION:A long-sized material 2 consisting of the calcined formed body or sintered body of an Ln-Ba-Cu-O-based superconductor is continuously moved in the heat-treating furnace 1 having a temp. distribution 3 having a peak-temp. region and a constant-temp. region, or the furnace 1 is moved relatively to the material 2 to continuously produce a long-sized oxide superconductor. The peak-temp. region is set to 950-1050 deg.C, and the constant-temp. region is set to 930-1000 deg.C (peak temp. is always higher than constant temp.), the peak temp. holding time is controlled to <=30min, and the time to lower the peak temp. to the constant temp. is adjusted to <=30min. |
