<p>The chassis and housing consists of cards, the chassis being retractable so that repairs and adjustments can be made without interference with the running of the circuitry, which normally consists of printed circuit boards. The chassis itself carries several separate slots accepting individual boards or chassis plates. Each slot carries male or female connecting blocks. Each such block is fixed to a common rail by its upper and lower surfaces, such that it may be moved along its length to the required position. Two forms of such blocks allow either single or multiple electrical connection. The chassis slides on a runner mounted on a stiffening frame cut away to allow side access to the circuitry.</p> |
