Retaining clip for papers or cards - uses moulding or wire foam to provide secure clip for folded documents

A secure clip for holding folded paper or card documents e.g. suitable for use with cargo documents attached to rail goods wagons, consists of a single formed or moulded element. One version of the clip is produced as a fibre filled plastic moulding consisting of an outer bead (2) to provide rigidity. The centre section is cut away except for a tongue (1) that projects from one end. The tongue is of a curved cross section to provide stiffness. The folded documents are bent over to lie against the tongue surface and are pushed into the gap (3) between the tongue and the bending. A hole (4) at the far end is provided for attachment.
