<p>The shutters for dowel to socket interlocking blocks have demountable and replaceable socket formers. The pressed concrete blocks (9, 10) have sockets in the top and bottom faces. Dowels project into the aligned sockets of vertically successive blocks to fix the blocks together. In the case of cylindrical dowels, suitable demountable socket formers may be fixed to the resp. internal faces of the top and bottom shutters. The dowel formers are cylindrical and of accurately dimensioned durable material. Alternatively, step diametered conical dowels may be used. In this case the socket formers (21, 20) on the top (23) and bottom (18) shutters may be joined by a tapered piece (22).</p> |
