<p>The rotary sorting machine operates automatically after feeding the articles through a vertical chute (1) at the top. It has a set of receiving pockets (2) which are so close together, that each article must fall into a pocket. The bottom (4) of each pocket tilts down to release its contents to a sloping chute (11) at the side. This tilting action is caused by an electromagnet operated by the weight of the article, and its operation can be changed to suit the weight of the articles to be discharged.</p> |
