<p>A frequency changer working at centimetric wavelengths, provides a signal sideband and low conversion loss. A 20db difference is achieved between the required and suppressed sidebands, the insertion loss being about 0.4 db. The circuit consists of a circulator (9) having three ports (5, 6, 7). A local oscillator working, typically, at about 13.15 GHz feeds are port. A band pass filter (13) is fed from the second port (6), its output supplying a mixing diode (2) which also receives the data carrying input frequency (f1). The third port provides an output.</p> |
