<p>The thruster mechanism loads a machine, particularly a veneering machine, with boards one after the other. The stack of boards (14) is accommodated on a table sliding horizontally and equipped with a lifting mechanism (34) holding it at such a height that the topmost plate is at the correct height for feeding in. A frame (16) has one or more guide rails extending in the direction of feed (f), and accommodating a truck (20) with support and guide rollers actuated by a double-acting ram (22). A thruster arm (24) is fixed to the truck, extending at right angles to the guide rails, and has at its free end a head (26). This engages behind the rear edge of the topmost plate in the stack, so as to feed it into the machine.</p> |
