The parent patent describes the purifcn., by means of resins, of liquids used for rinsing in a plant for treating surfaces chemically or electrolytically. In the plant, removable exchangers are placed in vessels contg. the liq. to be purified. The exchangers are connected into a closed circuit which includes an external pump and a filter. In this addn. the vessels are divided into compartments. The exchangers stand in one compartment which communicates with a second compartment contg. the final rinse. A third compartment contains a pre-rinse and the second and third compartments are sepd. by an overflow partition. A pipe connects the third compartment with the recycle pump and the filter. In an alternative form, the exchangers stand on a ramp in the pre-rinse compartment. The liq. to be purified is aspirated from below the ramp through a pipe to another group of exchangers immersed in the final rinse in another compartment. The addn. is partic. useful when the purifcn. of a bath liq. necessitates several simultaneous treatments by resins of different kinds. It allows total purifcn. of rinsing water, e.g. in processing precious metals. |
