Telephone call charge indicator - has compact impulse converter and counter indicator for installation in handset or separate housing

The telephone call-charge indicator consists of a stepping motor roller-type digital counter display unit (1) and pulse converter circuit (2). The call-charge display can be housed in the actual telephone handset or mounted in a separate unit. It may be of the single or double-winding type and can be combined with the electronic circuit board in a compact unit for fitting ito the respective housing. Incoming unipolar pulses from the exchange tariff unit (5) are converted to an alternating pulse waveform (9) to operate the stepping motor digital counter-indicator. A reset button can be fitted to the telephone handset or, in the case of remotely-situated counters e.g. in hotel reception offices, a separate switch or magnetic reset cn be provided.
