An anvil (10) on a handle (4) has a projection (5) on the top of it in the form of a height-adjustable screw with a compensating-washer. The top of the projection (5) is a larger than the riveting-head (6) of the rivet (7) being fixed. A strip (12) resting directly against the anvil (10) is fixed to the handle (4) and supports a back-pressure-roller (2) consisting of a steel shaft coated with two rubber tubes. A bar (9) is movably-fixed to the middle of the handle (4). At the back of the tool is an abutment-surface (13) protruding beyond the handle (4). Joined directly to the abutment surface (13) is a step-piece (14). A little way from the abutment-surface (13) is a bracket (15) fixed to the handle (4) at an acute angle to its axis.
