Coolant monitor for welding or cutting appts. - where coolant pressure in flexible pipe forces a peg against a switch

An arrangement for monitoring coolant flow through a flexible pipe, esp. on welding and cutting appts., is described, in which alteration in coolant pressure, and esp. a cessation of flow, provides a switch-off signal for uncooled, heat-sensitive appts. The novelty is that a pressure pin is pushed against the flexible pipe, the other end of the pin operating a switch. The pressure pin pref. forms part of a spring-loaded plunger located in a housing so that the spring pressure can be adjusted and the coolant pressure, if present, forces the plunger to push the switch to the "on" position.
