<p>Fan heater comprises a fan impeller (1), and in the adjoining flow channel (2) a rectangular heating element with a zigzag sinusoidal resistance heating wire arranged in parallel coil rows (16, 12) perpendicularly to the direction of flow and which is mounted in holes in at least one supporting plate (8,9). Between the fan impeller and the first coil row (16) is a baffle chamber (17) which may be formed by mounting the first coil row in the flow channel at a distance from the fan impeller. The coil rows and their supporting plates may be disposed between upper and lower insulating cover plates (4, 5) which define the walls of the flow channel: the cover plates, the supporting plates and the coil rows are extended in a direction towards the fan impeller so as to form the baffle chamber.</p> |
