<p>The installation is for the transverse transport of long items of material from an outlet roller stage to a following inlet roller stage, with both roller stages proceeding in parallel next to each other. A rigid support beam extends below the level of the roller stages and across both roller stages in a transverse direction. Lifting beams have synchronised movement for the transverse movement of the material. The inlet roller stage is located at a level above that of the outlet roller stage and above that level which accommodates the lifting beams after completing their lifting stage. The lifting beams each have a lifting mechanism at their ends facing the inlet roller stage to lift one item of material to a level above the inlet roller stage. The lifting mechanisms of the lifting beams may be synchronised during operation.</p> |
