The weight on the end of the probe is formed by a balloon (2) at its tip, filled with liquid (F), which can be removed while the probe is being inserted. The passage in the probe can be connected with the inside of the balloon by valves opening under vacuum, and with the stomach cavity by others opening under pressure, and the valves can be in the form of cracks formed in the flexible wall of the probe tube. The end of the probe which remains outside can be connected to a portable metering pump, driven from an accumulator, which has pressure rollers acting against the outside of the flexible wall.
