The device for treating tumours has an RF oscillator (11), an amplifier (13) connected downstream of the RF oscillator, and electrodes (31, 32) connected to the amplifier. The electrodes (31, 32), between which the tissue having the tumour is arranged, are constructed in the shape of plates and generate an electric field in the tissue or the tumour. A control device which comprises a DC negative-feedback circuit (17) between the amplifier (13) and RF oscillator (11) stabilizes the amplifier output current at an adjustable value in order not to heat the tissue surrounding the tumour above a specific temperature value and to heat the tumour above this temperature value. <IMAGE> |
