1501139 Transfer printing HOECHST AG 15 Aug 1975 [16 Aug 1974] 34104/75 Heading D1B A process for transfer printing synthetic materials comprises contacting the material with a carrier bearing a dyestuff of formula in which R and R<SP>1</SP> independently are Cl, CH 3 , OCH 3 or NO 2 and A is a radical of # - naphthol, N - (acetoacetyl) - 2 - methylaniline or N - (acetoacetyl) - 2 - methoxyaniline and the dyestuff is transferred to the substrate in a known manner, preferably by heating at 180 - 220‹C. Preferred substrates are textile materials of polyester, polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, cellulose triacetate or a mixture of two or more of these. The carrier material, preferably paper, also preferably carries a thickening agent, particularly an ethylcellulose, a polyvinylbutyral or a cellulose acetobutyrate. Specified dyestuffs are pigments Yellow 74, Orange 1 and 5, and Red 3 and 4. |
