Wide span slab and beam ceiling without formwork - with prestressed prefabricated beams and adjoining slabs fulfilling formwork function

In the construction of ceilings made up from lattice girder reinforced slab elements and prestressed prefabricated component beams, the purpose is to enable wide spans to be covered, without involving any formwork operations. The beams (1) are in the form of prestressed and prefabricated beam elements (4), fitted in complete thrust bonding connection (3, 5, 6) with the ceiling (2). Prefabricated component slabs of the ceiling terminate laterally at the side of these beams elements, taking over the function of the formwork. These slab elements may be bent or cuved. Hollow bodies may be inlaid in the site concrete component. Besides eliminating the need for formwork, the structural height is reduced, and sag is minimal in wide spans.
