Selection of working details on large circular knitting machines - esp. with revolving needle cylinders, at higher speeds

The chain of operations for the selection of the individual working details on knitting machines, esp. large circular knitting machines with a rotating needle cylinder, and an electronic patterning system, is initiated by a selector magnet ina fixed position relatively to the cam system. In the grooves of the needle cylinder, selectro jacks, the middle sections of which are flexible, are positioned, so that the botton end of the selector jack can be moved into the field of the selector magnet. The upper edge of the selector jack is inclined towards the cam box, and the needle jacks above the selector jacks in the needle cylinder grooves, can pivot on the ball end of their upper section, whilst their bottom section is cut away, so that the upper end of the selector jack can push the bottom butt of the needle jack into contact with the cams. Beneath the selector jacks and fixed relatively to the cam system, there is a guide cam and >=1 lifting cam for working with the selector jacks. At the upper end of the needle jack there is a cutaway to engage with the foot of the needle.
