As shown the roller carries a roller shutter but the mechanism can be used to operate any folding closure. A brake pad 14a engages the disc when the motor is inoperative but when engaged does allow slow manual rotation of the mechanism via a pulley wheel 11 secured to disc 10. A limit switch can be operated off shaft 5a and/or a torque limiter provided to protect the mechanism when it meets obstacles.</p> |
