<p>1494251 Cockroach bait M-H SY 19 Feb 1975 [20 Feb 1974] 6912/75 Heading ASE A cockroach bait comprises by wt. 80-99.9% of a mixture of non-coagulated egg powder and a starch-containing vegetable product in the ratio 1:9 to 2:1, 0-19.9% of a watersoluble carbohydrate 0.1-2% of an insecticide, 0-1% of a preservative. The egg powder is preferably from hen's eggs and the vegetable product is flour, potato flakes, shredded wheat or rolled oats. A mixture of sugar and honey is suitable as the carbohydrate. The insecticide is preferably decachloro-octahydro-1, 3, 4- metheno-2H, 5H-cyclobuta-(c, d)-pentalene-2- one. Also mentioned are arsenic salts, thallium sulphate, sodium or other fluorides, borax, boric acid, hexachlorocyclohexane and 0, 0-dimethyl-(2, 2, 2-trichloro-1-hydroxy-ethyl) phosphonate or other organic phosphorus compounds. An organo-tin or -mercury compound is added as preservative.</p> |
