<p>1487359 Nitro azo dyes SANDOZ Ltd 19 Dec 1974 [21 Dec 1973] 55056/74 Heading C4P Azo dyes have the formula in which each of R 1 , R 2 and R 3 , which may be the same or different, signifies a methyl or ethyl radical. They are prepared (a) by reaction of the corresponding halogenated azo dye in which the halogen is Cl or Br with a compound X-SO 2 -R 1 , where X is H or a metal equivalent or (b) by diazotization and coupling. They may be used for exhaust dyeing, pad dyeing or printing substrates consisting of or comprising synthetic or semi-synthetic hydrophobic organic substances, e.g. linear aromatic polyesters, cellulose acetates and synthetic polyamides.</p> |
