<p>A collector for an electrical machine is made up of mass produced stampings, produced by cold pressing copper strips which are stacked and held in position to form a ring. The external diameter of the collector is less than 60 mm. The distance between the stampings (2) before assembly is greater than the finished product. They are fitted to an insulated armature by cold shaping to produce the exact distance between the laminations. The armature is of an injection moulded thermoplastics. The circumference consists of fixing rings and cut-outs which engage the electrically conducting laminations.</p> |
