PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve brake feeling of a brake device of hydraulic brake-by-wire type. SOLUTION: When depressing operation of a brake pedal 1 is conducted rapidly, flowing of brake fluid into a master cylinder hydraulic pressure sensor 6 is delayed by a restrictor 22 formed at the hydraulic pressure introduction passage 33 of the master cylinder hydraulic pressure sensor 6. As a result, a hydraulic pressure increase in the master cylinder hydraulic pressure sensor 6 is made so as to correspond to a hydraulic pressure increase in a stroke simulator 3, thereby attaining good brake feeling.
