Packing of rectangular boxes - using exact fitting rectangular sleeve and heat shrunk polyethylene sleeve

The packaging eliminates the need for lids and flaps and is made up of two separate elements. The stack of boxes (14) are first slipped into the rectangular sectioned sleeve (10) which has the correct dimensions to contain the boxes exactly. The second element of the package consists of a sleeve (16) of polyethylene which is shrunk onto the package and requires no further fixing. This type of package has a greater resistance to compressive loads then conventional type boxes, with an increase in resistance from 529 Kg to 676 Kg in one plane. The contents of the package are visible without the need for opening the box.
