<p>1438096 Dithiodianilines GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 30 Jan 1975 [2 Feb 1974] 4103/75 Heading C2C Dithiodianilines are prepared by reacting a halonitrobenzene with sodium sulphide and sulphur, adding an acid to the mixture after reaction has taken place to adjust its pH to a value in the range 4-7, refluxing the reaction mixture, and recovering the required product. Suitable starting halonitrobenzenes are, for example, o-chloronitrobenzene, p-chloronitrobenzene, 3,4-dichloronitrobenzene, o-bromonitrobenzene, p-fluoronitrobenzene and 2,5-dichloronitrobenzene. The preferred acid is acetic acid.</p> |
