<p>Cpds. of formula (I) and their pharm. acceptable acid addn. salts are new (where X is H or halo, Y is H, halo, haloalkyl, NO2, alkyl or alkoxy, Z is haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, or alkylsulphonyl, and can also be halo, alkyl, alkoxy NO2 or CN provided X and Y are not both H at the same time, R is H or lower alkyl, R' and R"' are H, acetyl or propionyl, and R" is acetyl or propionyl). All alkyl etc. are lower. (I) are useful as antihypertensive agents with minimum side effects and can be used for treating cardiovascular disorders. I are also intermediates for the prepn. of amidinourea cpds. which are anti-hypertensive agents.</p> |
