Selective herbicidal compsn. esp. for cereal crops - contains a (3) alkyl (2,1,3) benzo thiadiazinone (2,2) dioxide and a (3)-terahydropyrannyl or (3) tetrahydrofuranyl uracil

The compsn. contains a 3-alkyl 2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide of formula (A) or its salts and a uracil of formula (B) (In the formulae, R is lower alkyl or cyclohexyl;R1 is lower alkyl or phenyl; R2 is H, Cl, Br or lower alkyl and n = 1 or 2). Used in agriculture, aboriculture, viticulture and horticulture but esp. in growth of cereals and maize where the compsn. may be applied at the pre- or post-emergent stage. Generally the active constituents are applied at 1-3.5 kg/ha. The wt. ratio of (A):(B) in the compsn. is generally 10:1-1:2 (pref. 6:1-2:1).
