Winding non-elastic synthetic yarns on frusto-conical bobbins - by supplying yarns to bobbins at constant speed and interposing yarn feed compensating store

Non-elastic synthetic yarns discharged from a pneumatic crimping device are wound onto frusto-conical bobbins by feeding the yarns at constant preset speed to the bobbins and interposing an intermediate yarn accumulator between the yarn feed rollers and the bobbin. Yarsn can be wound onto bobbins at constant tension to provide bobbins of uniform yarn density. Pref. the discharge of the yarns from the pneumatic crimping device takes place a speed corresp. to a required yarn quality. Its rate is pref. controlled in response to the speed of yarn supplied to the pneumatic crimping device.
