<p>The hoist has a motor-driven winch controlled by a switch. Parallel to the hoist chain or rope (18) is the non-circular tube (32) of a support (30). This fits over a coupling boss (20) on the lifting tackle (24), and the control switch is mounted (40) on the flange (34) of the support tube. The hoist tackle (22) boss tapers upwardly (20), to prevent relative rotation between the boss and the support. The tube is coaxial to the rope, and of oval or polygonal tubular section. The support is suspended on a take-up reel (50) on a cable (52) running parallel to the hoist rope, between the hoist motor casing and the flange, (34).</p> |
