<p>The design serves for safe destruction of discarded glassware. It consists of a plastic cover made in two parts, which when put together completely encase the bottle or glass. The container has an open bottom, which during use is temporarily closed up by the article to be destroyed. The two parts are held together during use by a rubber band, which is slipped over the bottom end of the container. The top end of the container is fitted wit a carrying handle. The lower part of one of the vertical walls of the container is provided with a window, where the blow by a hammer, or other instrument is applied to crush the article. The window is further protected by a slit plastic cover to prevent flying glass splinters from injuring the user.</p> |
