The cash box lock has a bolt (16) and housing (10, 11) in plastic material. The bolt is fitted with an extension (42) terminating in an arcuate leaf spring (41) which rests with its ends in recesses (44) of the housing. Between the spring (41) and the locking edge (18) the bolt has a recess (26) accommodating the rotating centre plug (27) penetrating plates (10, 11). The centre plus has a diametral slot (32) serving as a key insert. When the flat key is inserted, bits at the end of the key protrude beyond the outside diameter of the centre core (27) and rest against the surface of the bolt plug (26), limiting insertion. When the ky is turned, the bit in contact with the surface moves the bolt against the force of the spring (41) and the bolt moves out of the locked position.
