PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective which suppresses fluorescing more. SOLUTION: The objective 10 has lenses 111 to 1110 in this order from the side (lower side) of a sample to be measured to the image side (upper side) and those are put in a housing 12. Then (n) lenses 111 to 11n close to the sample among those 10 lenses 111 to 1110 are formed of materials which are not fluorescent to exciting light irradiating the sample and have no reflection-preventive film formed on their surfaces. The remaining lenses 11n+1 to 1110 each has a reflection-preventive film formed on its surface. Here, (n) may be 1 or 2 to 9. The nonfluorescent materials are preferably, e.g. quartz glass. Further, it is preferable that each of (n) lenses 111 to 11n is not a cemented lens.
