Parasiticidal compositions for controlling ectoparasites contain, as active ingredient, at least one compound of the following formula I <IMAGE> where, in this formula, the substituents have the meanings given in Patent Claim 1. These compositions are administered to host animals which are infested with ectoparasites either orally or by injection or else with the aid of an implant. The active ingredient of the parasiticidal compositions according to the invention have a powerful insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal activity and is therefore suitable for controlling any ectoparasites from the class of the insects, mites and worms. The active ingredient of the formula I is prepared by reductive cyclisation of an acid amide of the formula III. <IMAGE> |
