<p>The assembly is operated by regulating the pressure of the drying cylinders dependent upon the amt. of heat delivered by the cylinders per unit of time. The assembly has a volume meter for determining th amt. of steam delivered per unit of time to a drying cylinder. A pressure control varies the steam pressure in the cylinder, and a signal generator sets up a nominal value signal for the pressure control in association with the measurement signal from the volume meter. More efficient drying and greater security for the cylinders, is obtd. The regulating and pressure control valves need to be laid out for only part of the steam feed, which cheapens the cost of the control device and increases accuracy.</p> |
