<p>The differential has two elements, one of which is driven at the rotor speed, or at a speed proportional it, and the other is driven by a motor at a speed proportional to the rotor slip frequency. The relative speed between the two elements controls the machine controlled rectifier. The two driven elements (30, 31) are not connected with each other, and generate a field closely limited in the direction of rotation. They generate by a transmitter and a receiver an intermittent output signal whose frequency is proportional to the relative speed of the two elements.</p> |
